Audi's first model on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) 800V architecture, shared with the Porsche Macan Electric. The Q6 e-tron quattro pairs a permanent-magnet synchronous rear motor with a smaller front motor for a combined 285 kW (387 hp) and standard all-wheel drive. The 100 kWh battery (94.9 kWh usable) delivers a WLTP range of approximately 625 km. Build quality is typical Audi premium, and the 800V system enables DC fast charging up to 270 kW. As a first-generation PPE vehicle, it launched with notable software immaturity that has been gradually addressed through dealer and OTA updates.· more· less

Common Problems
First-generation platform with software growing pains, hardware appears sound
The Q6 e-tron's main ownership challenges are software-related. The PPE platform's hardware, including its 800V architecture, battery, and drive units, appears fundamentally sound. The systemic motor coolant seal failure that plagues the older e-tron (MLB evo) does not apply here. Most reported issues (infotainment bugs, charging errors, alarm triggers) are being addressed through dealer visits and OTA updates. As the platform matures through 2025-2026 software cycles, reliability should improve. Buyers of early-production cars should verify the KD2 software patch and all subsequent updates have been installed.

Rearview camera image delayed or deactivated after shifting to reverse (software fix) Verify completed
Seat belt automatic locking retractor may not engage with child seat (2025 models) Verify completed

Warranty Status
Factory warranty (2 years, no km limit) Check remaining coverage based on delivery date
HV battery warranty (8 years / 160,000 km) 70% capacity guarantee; covers battery, motors, and inverters
Rust perforation warranty (12 years) Covers body panel perforation from inside out
The 2-year Audi factory warranty covers most software and electronic issues. The 8-year HV battery and drivetrain warranty is transferable and covers the battery pack, electric motors, and inverters. Since the Q6 e-tron is very new (first deliveries mid-2024), many used examples will still be within the factory warranty. Verify exact warranty status and remaining coverage with Audi using the VIN.
