Stellantis' first full-size electric 7-seat SUV, built on the new STLA Medium platform shared with the e-3008. Available with a 73 kWh or long-range 98 kWh battery, both paired with a single front-mounted 210 hp electric motor. The STLA Medium architecture is fundamentally different from the older eCMP platform used in the e-208 and e-2008, with a redesigned charging system and 400V architecture supporting up to 160 kW DC fast charging.· more· less

Common Problems
New platform with typical first-generation teething issues
The e-5008 is built on an entirely new STLA Medium platform, which means it avoids the known Mahle OBC failures of the older eCMP Stellantis EVs. However, as a first-generation model on a new platform, it carries the usual early-adopter risks: immature software, potential build quality inconsistencies, and unknown long-term component durability. The suspension recall affecting early production cars has been addressed, but infotainment instability remains the most commonly reported complaint. Mechanically, the electric drivetrain itself appears robust so far, with no widespread motor or battery failures reported in the first two years of production.

Pre-Purchase Inspection Checklist
General checks
Specific for this vehicle
Recalls and Technical Service Bulletins
Front suspension arm ball joint bracket screws (July 2023 - February 2025 production) Critical - verify completed
Auxiliary heating cable fire risk in 48V battery harness (June - August 2025 production) Verify if applicable
High-pressure fuel hose leak risk (November 2022 - April 2025, MHEV/PHEV only) Verify if applicable
Contact a Peugeot dealer with the VIN to verify all recall work has been completed. The front suspension recall is safety-critical and must be confirmed before purchase. The fuel hose recall applies only to hybrid variants, not the full-electric e-5008, but verify with VIN to be certain.
Warranty Status
Factory warranty (2 years) May still apply on 2024-2025 cars depending on delivery date
Allure Care extended (up to 8 years / 160,000 km) Requires dealer servicing; covers motor, charger, major components
High-voltage battery (8 years / 160,000 km) 70% minimum capacity guarantee, applies to all e-5008 models
Rust perforation (12 years) Standard Peugeot bodywork perforation warranty
The Peugeot Allure Care warranty can extend coverage to 8 years / 160,000 km if the car is serviced at authorized Peugeot dealers. This is particularly valuable for an EV, as it covers the electric motor, on-board charger, and major electrical components. Verify with the selling dealer whether Allure Care is active for the specific car.
