Common Problems
Robust engine, but emissions system adds significant cost risk
The DW10 2.0 BlueHDi engine is widely considered one of PSA's most durable diesel designs, with many examples exceeding 300,000 km without core engine issues. The main cost risks come from the emissions control system (AdBlue, DPF, EGR) rather than the engine or drivetrain. Manual gearbox versions are more reliable than EAT6 automatics. Strict adherence to oil change intervals with PSA B71 2312 specification oil and regular longer drives are the most important factors for long-term reliability.
