2005-2008 · 2.0 TDI PD BSS (140 hp) 4-cylinder turbodiesel
The first modern Skoda Superb was built on a stretched VW Passat B5 platform, offering genuine executive-class space at a fraction of the price. The 2.0 TDI PD (engine code BSS, 140 hp) was available from 2005 to 2008 and uses the Pumpe-Duse unit injector system with a DPF and twin balance shafts. It is a comfortable long-distance cruiser with good fuel economy, though the balance shaft oil pump drive is a known weak point shared with the Passat B5.5 and Audi A4 B7 generation.· more· less
