Skoda's compact electric SUV launched January 2025, sitting below the Enyaq in the lineup. Built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform shared with the VW ID.3, ID.4, Cupra Born, and Audi Q4 e-tron. The 85 is the top single-motor variant with the largest 82 kWh battery and 286 hp rear-mounted motor, delivering up to 580 km WLTP range. As a new model, long-term reliability data is limited but MEB-platform issues seen on the Enyaq are likely to apply.· more· less

Common Problems
Too new for definitive data but MEB platform is now mature
The Elroq launched in 2025 so independent long-term data is limited. However, it shares its MEB platform with the Skoda Enyaq, VW ID.3 and ID.4, Cupra Born, and Audi Q4 e-tron, all of which have been on the road since 2020-2021. The drivetrain and battery are well-proven and software has matured significantly. Expect occasional infotainment quirks and the typical MEB 12V battery behaviour if the car sits unused. Most Elroqs are still within their 2-year factory warranty, which is a meaningful benefit for used buyers.

Specific for this vehicle
Recalls and Technical Service Bulletins
No recalls confirmed at time of writing for Elroq specifically Verify with VIN
Contact Skoda with the VIN to verify all service campaigns and recalls have been completed. The Elroq is too new to have a long recall history, but MEB platform service campaigns may apply.
Warranty Status
Factory warranty (2 years) Active on most 2024-2026 cars
High-voltage battery warranty 8 years / 160,000 km with 70% capacity guarantee
Rust perforation warranty 12 years
Extended warranty Available through Skoda dealers
Most used Elroqs still have factory warranty remaining, which is unusually valuable for a used purchase. The 8-year battery warranty covers the high-voltage pack, electric motor, and power electronics. Verify exact registration date with the VIN to know how much warranty time is left.
