Skoda's compact electric SUV sits below the Enyaq in the lineup and is built on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform. The Elroq 60 pairs a 63 kWh battery with a 150 kW rear motor, delivering around 390 km WLTP range. Production started in Mlada Boleslav in January 2025, and Skoda reached 100,000 units by late 2025. It shares most of its drivetrain and electronics with the VW ID.3, ID.4, and Cupra Born, inheriting the platform's strengths along with its known weak points.· more· less

Common Problems
New model on a proven platform with known minor issues
The Elroq 60 benefits from being a late arrival on the MEB platform, inheriting fixes for many problems that affected early ID.3 and Enyaq models. The drivetrain is mechanically simple and generally robust. The main ownership annoyances are software-related (infotainment glitches, occasional charging hiccups) and the 12V battery drain that affects all MEB cars to some degree. The heat pump system is expensive to repair if equipped, but failures are uncommon. With only 1-2 years of real-world data available, the long-term picture is still developing.
