Common Problems
Benefits from later MEB production, but platform quirks remain
The Elroq 50 enters production after four years of MEB platform development, inheriting revised hardware and improved software. Serious early-platform issues like OCDC condensation and severe software crashes have been largely addressed. However, the 12V battery management architecture, charging port actuator susceptibility, and alignment sensitivity remain inherent MEB characteristics. The drivetrain itself is mechanically simple with few moving parts and expected to be durable. Most potential costs arise from electronic and auxiliary systems rather than powertrain failure.
