The flagship of Porsche's first fully electric Macan range, built on the PPE 800-volt platform shared with the Audi Q6 e-tron. The Turbo packs dual permanent-magnet synchronous motors producing up to 639 PS with Launch Control, 1,130 Nm of torque, and reaches 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. The 100 kWh battery supports 270 kW DC fast charging (10-80% in 21 minutes). As a first-generation EV, the drivetrain hardware is robust, but software and electrical accessories are still maturing through dealer-applied updates.· more· less

Common Problems
Robust drivetrain, but first-generation EV electronics still maturing
The Macan Turbo's PPE platform, 800V architecture, and dual permanent-magnet motors are fundamentally well-engineered. No widespread powertrain or battery failures have emerged. The main ownership risks center on electrical accessories and software: AC charging module quirks, 12V battery management, charge port flap mechanisms, and infotainment bugs. These are typical first-generation EV issues that Porsche is addressing through software updates and service campaigns. Air suspension is a longer-term concern given the car's significant weight. Most issues encountered so far are covered under the factory warranty.

Pre-Purchase Inspection Checklist
General checks
Specific for this vehicle
Recalls and Technical Service Bulletins
Rearview camera malfunction (2024-2025 models, approximately 8,500 vehicles affected) Critical - verify completed
Headlight software calibration (March-November 2024 production, primarily US market) Verify if applicable
Front airbag mounting (3 vehicles, 2025 Macan 4 only) Verify if applicable
Contact Porsche with the VIN to verify all recalls have been completed. The rearview camera recall is the most broadly applicable and important to confirm before purchase. Use recall.porsche.com for the latest VIN-specific information.
Warranty Status
Factory warranty (2 years, no km limit) Active on most 2024-2025 cars
High-voltage battery (8 years / 160,000 km) Covers defects and excessive capacity loss
Porsche Approved Warranty (extended) Available through Porsche dealers, transferable
Rust perforation warranty (12 years) Standard on all Porsche models
Most 2024 Macan Turbo models are still within the 2-year factory warranty depending on first registration date. The 8-year / 160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty covers manufacturing defects and excessive capacity loss below Porsche's specified threshold. The Porsche Approved Warranty offers extended coverage and is transferable to subsequent owners, which is valuable for used car buyers.
