The flagship performance Cayenne of its generation, pairing a 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 with permanent all-wheel drive and air suspension as standard. The 958.1 (2010-2014) produces 500 hp while the facelifted 958.2 (2014-2018) raised output to 520 hp. Both use the 8-speed Tiptronic S gearbox. Fast, comfortable, and surprisingly capable on long journeys, but ownership requires a realistic maintenance budget.· more· less

Common Problems
Rewarding to own, but demands a realistic maintenance budget
The 958 Cayenne Turbo is a fast, comfortable, and mechanically well-engineered SUV that can cover high mileage with proper care. The twin-turbo 4.8L V8 is fundamentally durable, with many examples exceeding 200,000 km. However, the transfer case remains a well-known weak point across all petrol 958 models. The Turbo adds its own specific concerns around turbo oil supply lines and vacuum system complexity. On 958.1 models (2010-2014), verify the coolant pipe upgrade and camshaft adjuster bolt recall before purchase. Air suspension, oil leaks, and water pump failures are typical for the mileage and age these vehicles are now reaching. A pre-purchase inspection by a Porsche specialist is essential.
