The Fiat 600 is a compact crossover built on the Stellantis eCMP platform shared with the Peugeot 2008 and Opel Mokka. The Hybrid version pairs a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo engine (EB2 Gen3) with a 48V belt starter generator and the Punch Powertrain e-DCT6 dual-clutch automatic. Available in 100 hp and 136 hp outputs, it returns around 5.0-5.5 L/100 km in mixed driving. Still very new on the market, so long-term data is limited, but early owner reports and multiple recalls warrant careful attention.· more· less

Common Problems
New model with multiple recalls, needs careful pre-purchase verification
The Fiat 600 Hybrid is still in its early production phase, and the combination of the new EB2 Gen3 engine with the Punch Powertrain e-DCT6 gearbox has produced several recalls and documented issues in the first two years. The fire-risk recall affecting 700,000 Stellantis hybrids, the fuel line recall, and the early camshaft defect are all covered under warranty. The e-DCT6 gearbox remains the biggest financial risk outside warranty. Software updates from Stellantis have addressed many early complaints, and vehicles produced from mid-2025 onwards should benefit from the accumulated production fixes. Pre-purchase VIN verification of all recall completions is essential.

Fuel line loose nuts: high-pressure pipe insufficiently tightened, fire risk (Feb 2024 - May 2025 production, recall code F51L, 45,137 vehicles) Critical - verify completed
Camshaft phaser screw misalignment: assembly fault on EB2 Gen3 engines (2023 - Feb 2024 production) Verify completed

The Fiat 600 Hybrid has had multiple recalls in its first two production years. Contact a Fiat dealer with the VIN to verify ALL recalls have been completed before purchase. The 48V BSG fire recall and fuel line recall are safety-critical. Check production date on the door jamb to determine which recalls may apply.
Warranty Status
Factory warranty (2 years, no km limit) May still apply on recent cars; check registration date
Fiat Special Warranty extension Up to 8 years / 160,000 km with annual dealer servicing (some markets)
Rust perforation warranty (8 years) Check coverage date based on first registration
Fiat's standard EU warranty is 2 years with no km limit. In some European markets, the Fiat Special Warranty can extend coverage to 8 years / 160,000 km if all scheduled maintenance is performed at authorized Fiat dealers. Given the number of early recalls and the e-DCT gearbox concerns, extended warranty coverage is particularly valuable for this model.
