Common Problems
Software and electronics are the main concerns, drivetrain is robust
The EQE 300's electric motor and battery pack have proven reliable so far, with no widespread reports of drivetrain hardware failures. The main ownership risks center on the complex electronics: 12V battery drain, MBUX software glitches, flush door handle failures, and ADAS sensor calibration issues. Cars with optional AIRMATIC suspension carry additional risk from air spring leaks. Early 2022-2023 builds are most affected by the thermal management valve and BMS recall. Verify all recalls are completed, check for AIRMATIC equipment, and budget for occasional dealer visits for software updates.
