The 2025 refresh of the world's best-selling car brings redesigned exterior, improved interior materials, and a new suspension setup. The Long Range RWD variant offers up to 622 km WLTP range from a 78 kWh NMC battery with a single rear motor. Built at Gigafactory Berlin for the European market, it benefits from lower maintenance needs typical of EVs, but the Juniper generation has introduced a widely discussed front suspension rattle that Tesla is still working to fully resolve.· more· less

Common Problems
Low maintenance costs offset by Juniper-specific suspension teething issues
The Model Y Juniper benefits from the simplicity of an electric drivetrain, with no oil changes, timing belts, or exhaust components to worry about. The battery and drive unit are covered by an 8-year warranty and have proven durable across the Model Y platform. However, the Juniper generation introduced a widespread front suspension rattle that affects a significant majority of early production cars. Tesla is rolling out revised parts, but the fix is not yet fully proven. Paint quality, while improved over earlier Teslas, remains below European competitors. For a used buyer, confirming revised suspension dampers are fitted and inspecting paint condition are the two most important checks.
