The Hyundai Ioniq was one of the first dedicated hybrid platforms designed to challenge the Toyota Prius, offering hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric versions on a single aerodynamic body. The hybrid version pairs a 1.6 GDi Atkinson-cycle engine with a 32 kW electric motor through a 6-speed DCT, delivering 141 hp combined with exceptionally low fuel consumption.
