Common Problems
One of the most reliable city cars in Europe
The i10 AC3 1.2 consistently ranks at the top of reliability surveys. The Kappa II engine is simple and proven, with no turbo or direct injection to complicate matters. Most reported issues are minor (rear brake sticking, occasional immobiliser glitch) and inexpensive to fix. The main concern is the AMT automatic gearbox, which is inherently jerky and can develop control unit faults. Manual gearbox versions have an excellent track record. Verify the fuel pump recall (61DT01) on 2021-2023 builds before purchase.
