The turbocharged version of the third-generation i10, sold exclusively as the N Line trim in most European markets. The 1.0 T-GDI Kappa engine adds direct injection and a turbocharger to the familiar three-cylinder block, producing 100 hp through a 5-speed manual gearbox. Production ended in November 2025. Hyundai's 5-year unlimited-km warranty is a significant advantage for used buyers, with many examples still covered.· more· less

Common Problems
Reliable for a turbo city car, but timing chain needs monitoring
The i10 1.0 T-GDI is a well-regarded engine in Hyundai's lineup, shared across the Kona, i20, and Bayon. The main concerns center on the timing chain tensioner (improved from 2020 onwards) and the carbon buildup inherent to direct injection. Pre-2020 cars require more careful inspection. With proper maintenance and regular motorway driving, the engine can exceed 200,000 km. Hyundai's 5-year unlimited-km warranty remains active on many used examples, providing useful coverage.
