Common Problems
Simple variant of the PureTech, but the wet belt risk remains
The naturally aspirated 1.2 EB2F avoids the turbo and direct-injection issues that plague the turbo PureTech engines, but it still uses the same wet timing belt design. Preventive belt replacement around 60,000 km is strongly recommended. Beyond that, the Crossland's main weak spots are German-specific suspension wear at first TÜV and the well-known handbrake button. Cars used mostly on motorways and serviced every 10,000 km with the correct PSA-spec oil tend to fare best. Always verify recalls completed and check eligibility for the Stellantis 10 year / 180,000 km extended warranty.
