Common Problems
Mechanically simple but software-dependent — verify all updates done
The Avenger Electric is mechanically straightforward and inherits the well-understood eCMP drivetrain. Most reported problems are software-driven and resolved by dealer reflashes under warranty. The OBC risk is lower than on older eCMP cars since the Avenger arrived after the Mahle-to-VMAX transition. Verify all software updates have been applied and test AC charging before purchase. With factory and battery warranty still active on most used examples, exposure to surprise repair bills is limited.

Pre-Purchase Inspection Checklist
General checks
Specific for this vehicle
Recalls and Technical Service Bulletins
Software-related fault potentially affecting drive system or screens (2023-2024 production) Verify completed
AC compressor / traction system software (eCMP platform MF9 campaign equivalent) Verify completed
Stellantis battery and high-voltage component checks on early production Verify if applicable
Contact a Jeep dealer with the VIN to verify all recalls and software campaigns have been completed. Early Avenger production (late 2023 to early 2024) is most likely to have outstanding software updates.
Warranty Status
Factory warranty (2 years) Active on most used Avengers until 2025-2027
High-voltage battery warranty 8 years / 160,000 km, 70% capacity guarantee
Onboard charger extended warranty 4 years (Stellantis extension from April 2021)
All Avenger Electric models are still well within their original 2-year factory warranty and 8-year battery warranty. This significantly limits financial exposure to known issues. Verify warranty transfer with the dealer at purchase.
