The Bigster is Dacia's first C-segment SUV, built on the CMF-B platform and positioned as one of the most affordable mid-size SUVs in Europe. The Hybrid 155 is the flagship powertrain, pairing a new 1.8-liter naturally aspirated HR18 engine (the first engine designed entirely by HORSE, the Renault-Geely joint venture) with a 49 hp electric motor and Renault's clutchless multimode dog-clutch gearbox. It offers genuine hybrid economy around 5-6 L/100 km in mixed driving, while carrying a starting price under €29,000 in Germany.· more· less

Common Problems
First-year model with improved but unproven hybrid system
The Bigster Hybrid 155 benefits from the lessons learned across several years of E-Tech hybrid production in the Clio, Captur, and Jogger. The critical gearbox seal issue that affected earlier models has been addressed with an improved design from the factory. However, the 1.8 HR18 engine is entirely new with no long-term track record, and first-year software teething problems are well-documented on owner forums. The fundamentally sound but quirky clutchless gearbox remains the most distinctive ownership characteristic. Most current issues are software-related and should be resolved through updates under warranty.
