XPeng's flagship electric SUV for the European market, sold in the Netherlands, Scandinavia, and Germany from 2023. The G9 Long Range uses a 98 kWh NMC battery on an 800V SiC platform, offering around 480 km of real-world range and ultra-fast DC charging (10-80% in roughly 19 minutes). Double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension with optional dual-chamber air suspension, a spacious interior, and XPeng's XNGP driver assistance system round out a competitive package. Euro NCAP awarded it five stars in 2023.· more· less

Common Problems
Promising hardware, but thin service network is the real risk
The G9's 800V SiC powertrain and battery appear robust, with no widespread mechanical failures reported in the first two years of European sales. Euro NCAP awarded five stars, and charging performance is among the best in its class. However, the thin European service network, parts supply chain from China, and software calibration issues (particularly ADAS) are the main ownership concerns. Air suspension adds a layer of complexity and future repair cost that coil-spring competitors avoid. Most reported issues are software-related and addressable via OTA updates, which XPeng has been releasing regularly.

No model-specific recalls issued for the G9 in Europe as of early 2026 Verify with VIN
The XPeng G9 has no known European recalls as of early 2026. However, XPeng issues frequent OTA software updates that address safety and functionality improvements. Contact XPeng or your dealer with the VIN to verify the vehicle has received all applicable updates. Note that the P7+ steering recall (2025) does not affect the G9.
