XPeng's coupe-styled electric SUV targets the Tesla Model Y with 800V architecture, ultra-fast charging (10-80% in around 12-20 minutes), and dual motors delivering 487 hp. The Performance AWD variant pairs a front induction motor with a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor for strong all-weather traction. Built in China since mid-2023, European deliveries began in 2024 with a dealer network across Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.· more· less

Common Problems
Mechanically simple but software and service network are maturing
The XPeng G6's electric drivetrain is fundamentally robust, with no widespread motor or battery failures reported in its first two years on the market. The 800V architecture and LFP battery are proven technologies. The main ownership concerns are software-related (ADAS phantom braking, infotainment quirks) and build quality (interior rattles). The limited European service network means that when repairs are needed, parts availability and specialist knowledge may be less immediate than with established brands. XPeng's 7-year vehicle warranty and 8-year battery warranty provide strong coverage for used buyers.
