Geely's premium electric shooting brake entered Europe in 2023, positioned between the Tesla Model Y and BMW i4 on price, with a striking design and impressive 590 km WLTP range from its 100 kWh CATL Qilin battery. Built on the SEA platform shared with the Polestar 4 and Volvo EX90, it combines a spacious interior with strong build quality and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. The RWD Long Range variant offers the best balance of range and efficiency for daily use.· more· less

Common Problems
Promising drivetrain, but software maturity and service network are early-stage concerns
The Zeekr 001's electric drivetrain (single rear motor, CATL Qilin 100 kWh battery) has shown no widespread mechanical failures in its first years on the market. The main ownership risks are software immaturity (infotainment lags, OTA update issues), the expected 12V battery degradation common to most EVs, and interior trim rattles on early-production cars. The most significant practical concern for European buyers is the still-limited service and parts network. The 5-year/100,000 km warranty (extendable to 10 years) and 8-year/200,000 km battery warranty provide good coverage, but finding a convenient service point may require some planning depending on your location.

General checks
Specific for this vehicle
Recalls and Technical Service Bulletins
Battery pack recall (Sunwoda 86 kWh) - 38,277 units in China (July 2021-March 2024). Europe not affected (different battery chemistry). Not applicable
NHTSA occupant weight sensor software (Zeekr RT model only, not 001) Not applicable
As of early 2026, no recalls have affected European-delivered Zeekr 001 models. The major China-only battery recall (Sunwoda 86 kWh) does not apply to European cars, which use the CATL 100 kWh NMC battery. Contact Zeekr with the VIN to verify the vehicle's full recall and service history.
Warranty Status
Factory warranty (5 years / 100,000 km) Active on most used examples (European sales began late 2023)
Extended warranty (up to 10 years / 200,000 km) Available if serviced at Zeekr-authorized centers
Battery warranty (8 years / 200,000 km) Covers high-voltage battery with capacity guarantee
The Zeekr 001 has one of the most comprehensive warranty packages in Europe: 5 years/100,000 km standard, extendable to 10 years/200,000 km with regular service at Zeekr-authorized workshops. The battery warranty of 8 years/200,000 km is competitive with industry standards. Since European deliveries only began in late 2023, most used examples will still be within warranty.
