The higher-spec trim of BYD's compact electric crossover for Europe, built on the e-Platform 3.0 with a 45.1 kWh LFP Blade Battery delivering around 312 km WLTP range. The Boost adds a larger 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, Nappa-style vegan leather seats, ambient lighting, and additional driver assistance features over the Active trim. Mechanically identical to the Active: the same 130 kW front motor, same battery, and same service requirements. Common Problems
Low mechanical risk, but brand maturity in Europe is still developing
The BYD Atto 2 Boost benefits from BYD's proven Blade Battery and e-Platform 3.0, both of which have shown solid reliability across millions of vehicles globally. Known issues are predominantly software-related and addressable via OTA updates. The 12V battery drain is the most tangible hardware concern, but is inexpensive to address. The main ownership risk is not mechanical but rather BYD's still-developing European dealer and service network. With 6-year vehicle and 8-year battery warranty coverage, most potential issues are covered for first and second owners.
