The Jesko is Koenigsegg's flagship hypercar, limited to 125 hand-built units split between the high-downforce Attack and low-drag Absolut variants. It succeeds the Agera and is powered by a reworked 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with the novel Light Speed Transmission, Koenigsegg's first in-house gearbox. Deliveries began in mid-2023, so long-term ownership data is still limited, though several high-profile incidents have already surfaced.· more· less

Common Problems
Cutting-edge technology brings proportionate ownership risk
The Jesko is engineered to push boundaries, and its ownership experience reflects that. The hydraulic fire incident and subsequent stop-drive order demonstrate that even at this price point, reliability cannot be taken for granted. The novel LST gearbox, while impressive in concept, lacks the long-term track record of conventional dual-clutch units. That said, Koenigsegg's response to the fire incident was swift and transparent, and the factory actively supports every car in the field. With only 125 units and direct factory attention, issues tend to be resolved quickly. Budget generously for maintenance and keep the car at a facility within reach of the Koenigsegg service network.

Pre-Purchase Inspection Checklist
General checks
Specific for this vehicle
Recalls and Technical Service Bulletins
Stop-drive order: hydraulic hose fire risk (June 2024, all Jeskos) Critical - verify completed
LST software calibration update (various dates, factory-issued) Verify completed
Contact Koenigsegg directly or an authorized dealer with the chassis number to verify all safety updates and service campaigns have been completed. Given the low production volume, the factory maintains records for every individual car.
Warranty Status
Factory warranty (3 years) Active on most examples (deliveries started mid-2023)
Certified Legends (CPO) program 2-year warranty plus 2 years free maintenance for qualifying pre-owned cars
Rust/corrosion Not applicable (full carbon fiber body)
Most Jeskos are still within their original 3-year factory warranty as of early 2026. For second-hand purchases, Koenigsegg's Certified Legends program offers a 2-year warranty and 2 years of free maintenance on qualifying pre-owned vehicles. Given the car's value, extended warranty coverage is strongly recommended.
